Frequently Asked Questions

We've put together a list of some commonly asked questions and answers for you. Please contact us if you cannot find what you are looking for here or to make a booking enquiry, and we will be more than happy to help.

Please contact us by phone, text or email (our contact information is below), or use the form on the Bookings & Enquiries page. We'll arrange to meet up to discuss your requirements and give you a firm quote. If you accept our quote, we'll ask you to fill in a booking confirmation form and your event will be locked in. If we can't meet up in person, we can arrange everything over the phone or via email.

We are committed to providing our services at an affordable price. To get an idea of the cost, go to the Bookings & Enquiries page and fill in the event start and end times and the venue location. You can then scroll to the bottom of the page to see the estimated cost (you don't need to submit the form). Keep in mind that this is an estimate and the final price will be determined after we discuss your event with you.

We may ask for a deposit to confirm your booking. Any deposit paid will be refunded in full if your event is cancelled and you notify us before the day of the event.

Unless otherwise arranged, we ask that you pay in full on our arrival at the event.

We will support community groups, clubs and schools whenever possible. Please contact us and we will discuss this with you.

Sure! We'll go anywhere in the Waitaki, Waimate and Timaru districts.

If you are running a public event where music will be played, you or the venue manager must obtain a license. Private events such as parties and weddings do not require a license. Please visit www.onemusicnz.com for more information.

Depending on the type of event, we like to arrive on site between one and two hours before we are supposed to start the music.

We will dress appropriately for the occasion. Typically this means a jacket and tie or business casual for formal events and tidy casual for informal events. If you have specific dress code requirements please let us know.

We will discuss the music selection with you when you confirm your booking and will tailor-make a playlist to suit your event and tastes. We have a wide variety of music available, from the latest hits all the way back to the 1950s and including genres such as pop and rock, r&b, disco, dance and edm, rock & roll, country, reggae and more. Please note that we will not play any songs with offensive or overly explicit lyrics.

We can if your event is private. We recommend doing this only if you don't want lights at your event as our lighting is programmed for each individual song and won't work when using Spotify. We will need to download your playlist prior to the event and please note that we will not play any songs with offensive or overly explicit lyrics.
